The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA), as the lead agency for the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process, is issuing a Notice of Preparation of a Project Level Environmental Impact Report/Statement (EIR/EIS) for the Merced to Sacramento section of the proposed High-Speed Train System. The Federal Railroad Administration, as the lead Federal Agency under the provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), is publishing a Notice of Intent (NOI) in the Federal Register.

To ensure that the issues most important to residents, public agencies and other involved parties are addressed, the Authority is inviting you to participate in scoping meetings to collect public input. The Notice of Preparation, meeting dates and locations are available at www.cahighspeedrail.ca.gov. You can also provide comments at the Authority’s Web site.

If you require an interpreter, including sign language services, or other accommodations at a meeting, please call 916-567-8072.
