elcome to the Green Line to the Airport Web site.  This project will provide extended light rail transit (LRT) service between downtown Sacramento, South and North Natomas, and on the Sacramento International Airport.

The next phase of the Green Line to the Airport is now beginning project development. A Transitional Analysis was conducted in November 2010 and that study re-evaluated and refined some of the previously made assumptions including track design, station placement, patronage, operating plans and costs. RT received funding now to move forward with developing the Draft Environmental Impact Statement/Report (DEIR/S) and preparing information for the federal "New Starts" process. The purpose of this effort is to further develop and document the environmental issues and potential mitigation strategies while engaging the community in helping to refine the locally preferred alternative (LPA). This effort will continue through 2015.
