Public Outreach

The public participation component of the Green Line project is designed to help ensure community awareness and stakeholder input. During the study phase, public and stakeholder involvement complemented the technical flow and progress of the study components. Comprehensive efforts were made, and will continue to be made, to reach out to key stakeholders, policymakers, and the general public, especially at critical milestones during the environmental review and design process.

The public outreach program is an ongoing process that includes:

  • Public meetings/hearings

  • Public comment

  • Stakeholder coordination and review of plans

  • Distribution of newsletters, fact sheets, and other informational materials

  • Web site information and updates

  • Media announcements and public notices

  • Periodic e-mail announcements/updates

  • 24-hour telephone information hotline: (916) 930-1192

Find out how you can get involved!
