SACRAMENTO, CA – With a surge in ridership and improved service, the Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) is making transit more convenient for those riders traveling to Golden 1 Center for events and Kings games with its new “Event Pass” for round-trip fare. The “Event Pass” will allow riders to purchase round-trip fare prior to an arena event with a single transaction, eliminating the need to stand in line at a fare vending machine after an event.

“We really care about what’s important to our customers who tell us it would be more convenient to purchase round-trip fare with one transaction,” said Henry Li, RT General Manager/CEO. “The new Event Pass provides a great fare option for those who only want to ride to and from a Golden 1 Center event on RT.”

The “Event Pass” is $5.50 per person, the same price as two Basic single fare tickets. It can only be purchased at light rail stations on the day of a Golden 1 Center event at a Parkeon fare vending machine, and riders must have a Golden 1 Center event ticket in conjunction with the round-trip fare to be valid.

RT also offers an event Group Pass, available at the Parkeon machines and on the mobile fare app, RideSacRT, which allows up to 4 people to ride for $14 with a valid Golden 1 Center event or Kings game ticket.

The “Event Pass” is in place for purchase starting on Saturday, November 5 for the Disney on Ice show.
