SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) will offer a free ride day on Saturday, October 15 for those attending the Maroon 5 concert with a valid event ticket for Golden 1 Center. Riders on Gold and Blue Lines will be treated to a street team handing out free swag to riders along with educating on upcoming Station Pre-Party events at Sunrise, Watt/Manlove, Franklin, and Roseville Rd. Stations events are sponsored by Sacramento Area Council of Governments.

“Free ride days are a great time to try RT, especially when there is a Station Activation event because riding RT will get the ‘fun’ started as you begin your concert experience,” said Henry Li, RT General Manager/CEO. “Contrary to ‘Don’t Wanna Know,’ Maroon 5’s new single, you do want to know about this event!”

RT is providing up to 10 free ride days for those with a valid Golden 1 Center event ticket and 13 Station Activations prior to events, games and concerts.

“Regional Transit has been integral in making transit to downtown’s new entertainment district safe, simple and fast,” said Kings President Chris Granger. “Every event – basketball games, concerts and family shows – at Golden 1 Center is an opportunity to explore our city with RT’s reliable and convenient service.”

The next Station Pre-Party is October 18 from 3:30 – 6:30 pm at the Watt/Manlove Station before the Kings take on the Los Angeles Clippers. Come and shoot some hoops, score giveaways, relax in a pop up park, and jam out to music all before you board the train.
