ELK GROVE, CA:
Hello Henry, Any plans to extend the lightrail blue line to south of Elk Grove in the near future? With the new casino opening up at the end of the year, it will certainly help with traffic congestion. And what will the extended lightrail track path be like from CRC on? Thank you for this QA platform.
Reply: SacRT continues to progress a planned extension of the Blue Line south to Elk Grove. An initial phase of the project would extend the line from CRC approximately 3.5 Miles to Civic Center Drive. We are also working on extending a current Elk Grove Transit Services bus route to service the new casino. More details will be available on that service soon.
South Sacramento , CA:
How are ridership numbers for this year so far? And would the numbers affect any decisions regarding service changes?
Reply: Thank you for your question. We should finish this fiscal year by carrying over 12 million rides. Ridership is approximately 50% of pre-pandemic levels. Bus has performed stronger than rail with the largest group of riders. At this time, we are not proposing significant changes to the level of service being offered.
Good afternoon, I am curious to know more about the streetcar to West Sac, as I recall seeing online that a presentation about the project was given to ECOS recently. Where can I find more information about the project, since the website has not been updated in several years
Reply: Currently, the progress is still in Project Development with the Federal Transit Administration's Capital Investment Grant Program. We expect to take a project update to Board later this summer on the alignment, costs and schedule. Once we take these next steps, the website will be updated with the new project plans.
Hi, I find the Smart Ride app impossible to use. I am OK with calling to book a ride, but it would be nice if I could get the app to work to get the tracker.
Reply: I checked with our SmaRT Ride team and the app is working properly. If you need assistance getting it set up or using it, you can always call our Customer Service phone number at 916-321-2877 for assistance.
ELK GROVE, CA:
Will there be new ETran bus routes going to the Sky River Casino when the casino opens up? If so, will there be Saturday/Sunday services for the people aheading to the casino? I think this new casino will attract a lot of people visiting Elk Grove. Thank you.
Reply: Thank you and we are excited about people taking transit to the new Casino. On June 13th, SacRT will be taking a cost sharing agreement to the board for approval. The agreement will cover 100% of the cost for operations and maintenance to extend Bus Route E110 for five years.
It would be nice if transit can start going to west Sacramento to IKEA shopping center that a popular shopping center.
Reply: This question would be best directed to Yolobus, the provider of local bus services for West Sacramento. SacRT provides connections to Yolobus in various locations in downtown Sacramento.

On some days, E Tran does not have bus service for bus 10 @ 6:55am at Calvine and Power Inn, plus bus 15 @7:04 Calvine and Power Inn. It should be 1 or the other not running. Don’t have both not in service. It is messing up my morning schedule. Thank you.
Reply: I am sorry for the inconvenience. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, SacRT has been working to ensure it operates close to 100% of our current service levels as we know our customers depend on us; however, like other industries, SacRT has been affected by the nationwide workforce shortage and the impacts of the pandemic.
We are continuing with our aggressive recruiting and retention efforts including holding in-person hiring events. We have two scheduled this month, June 14, 2022, and June 22, 2022.
Also, our dispatchers and supervisors are working around the clock to find solutions to reduce cancellations. We understand the impact that even one cancellation has on our riders. We understand the importance of our bus service to get riders to jobs, school, and essential services. We are actively working to maintain as much service as possible every day.

Are there any upcoming planned bus bridges this Summer due to the light rail modernization project that will double track service to Folsom and raise stations in our city and throughout the Gold Line to accommodate the new rail cars that are currently being manufactured?
Reply: The bus bridges are expected to begin in the fall for work on the Light Rail Modernization project. As soon as we have the final construction contact, we will be sure to share that information with riders.

Now that the elevator project at Watt/I-80 has been completed, what are the next phases of the station improvement project, and the timeline to get the next task done?

Currently the project is in Preliminary Engineering with an anticipated design completion of summer 2023.
