SacRT Forward

What is SacRT Forward?

SacRT is embarking on a major redesign of its transit network. Over the next year, SacRT will be developing a new network of bus routes based on community input and data analysis.

What is the goal of SacRT Forward?

The goal is to provide an updated transit network that reflects current travel patterns and features improved connectivity.

How can I participate?

We have a number of opportunities for residents to stop by both in person and virtually to discuss transit planning with our SacRT team. Check out our public involvement options by scrolling down!

Where are we now?

The SacRT Forward team has developed two draft Alternative transit networks for SacRT’s service area. These two alternatives are intentionally very different from one another:

The High Coverage Alternative
The High Ridership, High Frequency Alternative

How Can I Learn About These Draft Alternatives and Provide My Input?

A report presenting the two draft Alternatives will be published online in October 2018 at SacRTForward.com. Join us this October and November to learn about the Alternatives, ask questions, and share your thoughts to help plan for the Sacramento region’s future transit network.

We will be holding a series of pop-up events, a virtual community workshop, and a community open house.
