ZipPass Update
SacRT has launched a new mobile fare app called Transit Connect. Users can currently purchase basic fare using the app, with discount fare options coming in November 2025. ZipPass will continue to operate but is expected to be phased out in late 2025.
How It Works
ZipPass puts convenience in your pocket, letting you purchase fares directly from your phone—anytime, anywhere. When you’re ready to ride, just activate your ticket or pass. Show your active fare to the bus operator upon boarding the bus and have ready for visual inspection on trains.
