SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is hosting two in-person hiring events specifically to help bring onboard more bus drivers and fill other essential positions. SacRT offers extremely generous and competitive benefits for medical, dental, paid sick leave, retirement, and tuition reimbursement. Also, $2,000 sign on bonuses are available for bus driver hires.  

Hiring Event Details: 

Tuesday, May 7, 2024 
10 a.m. – 3 p.m. 

Tuesday, May 21, 2024 
2 p.m. – 7 p.m.

SacRT Auditorium 
1400 29th Street, Sacramento, CA  

(Accessible by bus routes 38, 67, and 68, light rail to the 29th Street Station, and SmaRT Ride) 

SacRT is hiring for several bus driver positions, including full-time and part-time positions, and will provide paid training and assistance with obtaining necessary permits and Commercial Driver Licenses (CDL).  

Some of SacRT’s open positions include:

    • Dispatcher (Elk Grove Service) 
    • Facilities Maintenance Superintendent 
    • Facilities Supervisor  
    • Planner/Senior Planner 
    • Security Operations Center Specialist 
    • Transportation Superintendent – Bus  

Candidates attending the event are requested to bring a valid ID and employment history covering the last 10 years of work experience. 

As an added incentive, SacRT is pleased to offer free rides to candidates attending the hiring events. Attendees can simply present a printed or digital copy of the free ride flyer to ride SacRT for free.
