SACRAMENTO, CA – Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) will temporarily suspend different segments of Gold Line light rail service between Monday, January 26 and Thursday, February 5, 2026, to perform critical track maintenance as part of SacRT’s State of Good Repair Program.
This project includes rail tie replacement, tamping, and ballast improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and ride comfort for passengers.
What to Expect:
- Service Disruption: Gold Line train service will be suspended in phases between 29th Street and Butterfield stations during the 11-day construction period.
- Bus Bridge Service: SacRT will operate shuttle buses to connect riders between affected stations. Bus bridge limits and closed stations will vary by date.

- Thursday, January 29: Bus bridge from Watt/Manlove to Butterfield
