SACRAMENTO, CA – Beginning Sunday, August 9, 2026, SacRT will implement service adjustments on bus routes 10, 61, 81, 82, 87, and 228. These changes are designed to improve schedule reliability, enhance connections, and better meet rider needs. Details for each route are listed below.
Route 10 – Folsom (Monday through Friday)
An additional 10 minutes of travel time has been added to the morning trip. The trip departing Iron Point Station at 7:08 a.m. will now serve American River Canyon at 8:03 a.m. before arriving at Historic Folsom Station at 8:16 a.m.
Route 61 – Fruitridge (Monday through Friday)
To Pocket Transit Center: Up to two minutes of travel time has been added to improve on‑time performance. All trip times will adjust accordingly.
To Florin Towne Centre: Up to 10 minutes of travel time has been added to improve on‑time performance. All trip times will adjust accordingly.
Route 81 – Florin (Monday through Friday)
Due to low ridership, SacRT will discontinue the 7:41 a.m. westbound trip from Florin Towne Centre.
Route 82 – Northrop/Morse (Monday through Friday)
To improve connections at the University/65th Street Station, the trips that currently depart at 6:13 a.m. and 6:43 a.m. will shift six minutes later to 6:19 a.m. and 6:49 a.m. All trip times will adjust accordingly.
Route 87 – Howe (Monday through Friday)
To improve connections at the University/65th Street Station, the trips that currently depart at 5:58 a.m., 6:28 a.m., and 6:58 a.m. will shift six minutes later to 6:04 a.m., 6:34 a.m., and 7:04 a.m. All trip times will adjust accordingly.
Route 228 – Gloria (Monday through Friday)
A new stop will be added on Karbet Way to better serve students traveling to and from Sam Brannan Middle School.
