Calling All Volunteers!

July 2, 2020 General, SacRT in Community

SacRT has teamed up with California Volunteers, Office of the Governor, as part of the #CaliforniaForAll campaign to mobilize Californians to volunteer and serve in their communities.

In compliance with the California Department of Public Health’s guidance on requiring masks on public transportation, SacRT requires that a mask be worn while waiting at a bus stop or light rail station and when riding any SacRT vehicles.

SacRT now has a group of volunteers that are handing out reusable masks at light rail stations and transit centers across the region.

SacRT received 50,000 masks from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the Federal Transit Administration. If you are interested in volunteering, please email volunteers@sacrt.com. The next orientation volunteer group will be held in August.
