SACRAMENTO, CA – In honor of those who have served our country, the Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is inviting military service men and women to ride free on Veterans Day.

“It’s SacRT’s way of saying thank you to all those who have served our country,” said Henry Li, SacRT General Manager/CEO. “We simply want to send the message that we are appreciative of their dedicated service.”

Free rides will be extended to veterans, active military and reservists on Saturday, November 11. SacRT will also provide free rides to military family members to recognize the vital role they play in supporting loved ones.

To ride free, passengers should be prepared to show their Active Military Access Card (CAC) as proof of fare. Retired military and family members will be asked to show their Uniformed Service Identification Card.
