Closures for Light Rail Platform Modifications and Overhead Wire Pole Replacement

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is reminding community members of upcoming light rail service disruptions in May 2023. SacRT is actively working on station platform modifications to meet the height requirements for the new low-floor light rail vehicles, most of the construction efforts take place during weekends to limit the impact to riders. A bus bridge (special shuttle buses) will be in place during the weekend closures to take riders between impacted light rail stations.

Due to station platform modification construction at the 8th & Capitol and 8th & K Street stations, a bus bridge will be in place on the Blue and Gold lines from the start of service on Saturday, May 13 through to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 14.
