SacRT to Make Schedule Adjustments to Enhance Bus Service

March 28, 2022 SacRT News

Changes will Impact 14 Bus Routes Effective Sunday, April 3, 2022

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is informing riders that service adjustments will be made to 14 bus routes beginning on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, SacRT has been working to
ensure it operates close to 100% of our current service levels as we know our customers depend on us; however, similar to other industries, SacRT has been affected by the nationwide workforce shortage and the impacts of the pandemic.

The service adjustments will be made to bus routes 11, 19, 23, 25, 61, 67, 68, 81, 82, 86, 107, 134, 142, and 193. For a full list of service changes and alternative schedules, visit www.sacrt.com/aprilservice.

Making adjustments on these bus routes will better align with staffing levels, allowing buses to operate on a consistent and predictable schedule, resulting in fewer canceled bus trips. No schedule or service adjustments will be implemented to light rail.

SacRT encourages customers to check for bus and light rail service delays or cancellations at www.sacrt.com/alerts and to download the free Alert SacRT App for light rail updates. Riders can also call SacRT Customer Service at 916-321-BUSS (2877) for assistance.

SacRT is relentlessly focused on customer experience and is making a major push to hire more bus drivers. Positions are available to apply online at www.sacrt.com/careers. SacRT is also holding an in-person hiring event on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, specifically to recruit bus drivers. As a reminder, masks continue to be required on transit under a federal mandate through Monday, April 18, 2022.
