SacRT Announces Blue Line Service Disruptions Throughout April for Platform Construction

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is notifying riders and the community of scheduled Blue Line service disruptions throughout April 2026 as part of the ongoing Light Rail Modernization Project. This multi‑year effort includes raising platforms to accommodate SacRT’s new low‑floor light rail trains and represents the largest capital project in the agency’s 53‑year history. Construction efforts on the Blue Line will be in place in various areas through 2027.

During construction periods, bus bridges (shuttle buses) will operate between impacted stations to support Blue Line travel. Riders are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
