SacRT is celebrating Engineers Week 2025 from February 16 to 22, 2025. We’re proud to join the celebration of engineers who shape the world we live in and inspire the next generation of innovators. This year’s theme, “Design Your Future,” highlights the power of engineering to transform lives and encourages young minds to explore careers in engineering and STEM.

To celebrate Engineers Week, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible work from SacRT’s engineering team with five stories showcasing transformative projects shaping the future of transit in the Sacramento region: 

1. Station Construction on the Blue Line for New Low-Floor Trains: Learn how SacRT engineers are modifying Blue Line station platforms to accommodate new low-floor light rail trains, making transit more accessible for everyone.
