Introducing the New Elk Grove Senior Transit Pass!

about the program

The City of Elk Grove is funding fares for eligible seniors that ride SacRT fixed-route bus routes that begin or end within the City of Elk Grove (e.g., E10, E11, etc.). This special program is available to Elk Grove residents who are 62 years of age or older. This pilot program is designed to help improve mobility and expand access to essential services for seniors.

Starting Monday, March 30, 2026, eligible riders can show one of the following when boarding:

  • Elk Grove Senior Transit Pass (available soon), or
  • A governmentissued photo ID showing proof of age (62+)

Simply show your Elk Grove Senior Transit Pass or an ID Card to the bus operator when boarding. The operator will verify eligibility, and your ride will be provided at no cost to you.
