Rider Alert: Bus and Green Line Service Disruptions Due to Construction

Beginning Tuesday, May 6, 2025, construction in the Railyards area will cause detours for several SacRT bus routes and a temporary closure of the 8th & F bus stop. Additionally, Green Line light rail service will be temporarily suspended starting in mid-June.

Bus Route Detours (Effective Tuesday, May 6, 2025):
Due to construction, bus routes 11, 103, 106, and 129 will be detoured off 7th Street near the Railyards.

  • The bus stop at 8th & F streets will be temporarily closed. All bus routes will detour via: Left on G Street, right on 6th Street, right on North B Street, and left on 7th Street.
  • Bus service at 7th & Richards/Township 9 Station: only bus route 103 trips that start and end at the station will be detoured.
  • Construction is expected to continue through February 2026.

Green Line Service Suspension Expected in Mid-June:

Green Line light rail service will be temporarily suspended through February 2026 starting in mid-June 2025. SacRT is working with the contractor to determine the start date.

  • 7th & Richards/Township 9 Station will also be closed during this time.
  • Riders can use bus route 11 as an alternative during the service disruption.
  • Starting Monday, June 16, 2025, SacRT will expand bus route 11 service to operate from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, to better align with Green Line service. The new timetable will be available soon.

Note: Green Line does not operate on weekends.
