EN7th & Railyards Station
New Green Line Station Coming Soon!
SacRT is excited to announce the upcoming 7th & Railyards Boulevard Station, a major addition to our light rail network. This station will connect Sacramento’s vibrant Railyards development—including the future Major League Soccer stadium, new residential neighborhoods, and retail spaces—to the rest of the region.
Construction Timeline:
- Track alignment began June 2025
- Station construction started October 2025
- Opening planned for October 2026
Station Opening Update
The new 7th & Railyards Station is scheduled to open on Thursday, October 15, 2026, following the return of Green Line service.
Thank you for your patience and support as we complete the final preparations to open the 7th & Railyards Station and connect the Railyards to SacRT’s light rail network.
Why It Matters:
The Railyards is one of the largest urban infill projects in the nation, and this station will provide sustainable transportation options for thousands of residents and visitors. It will also enhance connectivity to Sacramento Valley Station, the city’s intermodal hub for Amtrak and regional transit.
Green Line Connection:
The new station will be part of SacRT’s Green Line, which currently runs from 13th Street to Township 9 and will eventually extend to Natomas and Sacramento International Airport.
