Sacramento Museum Day – Saturday, February 3, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The 20th annual Sacramento Museum Day offers free or half-price admission to 26 participating local museums and destinations. Many of these museums are easily accessible by public transit, and within walking distance of each other.
SacRT has partnered with Sacramento Museum Day to provide free public transportation on bus and light rail for event day participants. Additionally, SacRT will operate two shuttle routes to make traveling between museums even more convenient. Present the flyer at the link below to ride SacRT free on Museum Day. The first shuttle will circulate downtown Sacramento stopping at the Sacramento Valley Station (accessible by light rail's Gold Line), traveling to the California Railroad Museum, California Automobile Museum, California Museum, and State Capitol (near the California State Library and Leland Stanford Museum). The second shuttle will transport riders from the City College light rail station (accessible by light rail's Blue Line) to the Sacramento Zoo and Fairytale Town. Zoo/Fairytale Town Shuttle Schedule
Shuttles will say "Sacramento Museum Day Shuttle" on the headsign. Please wave to the driver to let them know you would like to board the shuttle.
To travel by light rail from downtown to the Sacramento Zoo/Fairytale Town, board the Blue Line towards Cosumnes River College and exit at the City College light rail station. The Blue Line is easily accessible at the Archives Plaza light rail station, located next to the California Museum.

Museum Day encourages all members of the community to experience the Capital City’s incredible wealth of art, history, science and wildlife. Event coordinators suggest that guests plan to visit no more than two or three different museums on this day in order to allow adequate time to enjoy the experience and to travel between individual sites.
