SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) will be temporarily closing two stations on the Blue Line to accommodate important station upgrades in preparation for new low-floor light rail trains. These improvements are part of SacRT’s commitment to increasing accessibility and enhancing the overall passenger experience.
Two scheduled weekend service disruptions on the Blue Line will include bus bridges (shuttle buses between stations) during construction activities at Globe and Alkali Flat/La Valentina stations.
Blue Line Service Disruptions and Bus Bridges:
- Saturday, April 26 – Sunday, April 27, 2025
A bus bridge will operate between Alkali Flat/La Valentina Station and Marconi/Arcade Station to allow for construction at Globe Station. - Saturday, May 3 – Sunday, May 4, 2025
A bus bridge will operate between Globe Station and 11th & K Station to accommodate construction at Alkali Flat/La Valentina Station.
Please note: K Street will be closed to vehicles between 8th and 12th streets during this time.
