Weekend Bus Bridge Scheduled on Gold Line Between Cordova Town Center and Historic Folsom Stations

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) will implement a temporary bus bridge on the Gold Line between Cordova Town Center Station and Historic Folsom Station on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, 2025, to accommodate construction activity in the area.

During this time, light rail service will operate only between Cordova Town Center Station and Sacramento Valley Station. Riders traveling to or from Sunrise, Hazel, Iron Point, Glenn/Robert G. Holderness, or Historic Folsom stations will be served by shuttle buses operating in place of trains that will connect to the light rail system at Cordova Town Center Station.

This temporary service interruption is necessary to allow the contractor to complete the installation of fiber converters along the Folsom rail corridor—critical equipment that could not be installed prior to resuming train service at Folsom area stations in January 2025.

SacRT encourages riders to plan ahead and allow extra travel time during the bus bridge period and/or park at the Sunrise Station park-and-ride lot. For more information, visit sacrt.com/FolsomRiderAlert.
