SacRT Invites Community to Join Final Transit Idea Exchange Workshops

SACRAMENTO, CA — SacRT is inviting riders, community members, and stakeholders to participate in the final two virtual Transit Idea Exchange Workshops, part of an ongoing series designed to gather input on the future of public transit in the Sacramento region.

The interactive workshops provide an opportunity for participants to share ideas, ask questions, and help shape a transit system that works for everyone. SacRT has hosted several in-person workshops across neighborhoods in the region, sparking important conversations about accessibility, convenience, safety, and service improvements and now SacRT wants to expand the conversation with more community members by bringing it online with two final virtual workshops.

Upcoming Workshops (Virtual):

  • Tuesday, September 30 | 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, October 1 | 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Participants can register and join the conversation online. Zoom links will be provided upon registration.

“These workshops are an important opportunity for our community to help shape the future of transit in Sacramento,” said SacRT General Manager/CEO Henry Li. “We want to hear directly from riders and residents about what’s working, what can be improved, and how we can better serve everyone across our region whether you ride or not.”

“Public transit is most effective when it reflects the needs of the people who use it,” said SacRT Board Chair and Sacramento City Councilmember Rick Jennings. “We encourage all community members to join the final workshops and share their perspectives — your input is critical to making Sacramento’s transit system stronger and more accessible for all.”
