Major Blue Line Service Disruptions Scheduled

SACRAMENTO, CA – Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) will implement several planned service disruptions on the Blue Line throughout March 2026 as part of ongoing construction at the future Dos Rios Station and station platform modification work to prepare for new low-floor trains on the Blue Line. Bus bridges (shuttle buses) will be in place to help riders travel through impacted areas.

Construction work will affect Blue Line service in different areas from Saturday, March 14 through Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Dates are subject to change based on weather or field conditions. Riders are advised to check sacrt.com/BlueLine for updates or call our Customer Service line at 321-BUSS (2877).

  • Stations are closed for platform modification work.
  • Trains will pass through the Arden/Del Paso and Royal Oaks stations but cannot stop.

March 21–22: Additional Dos Rios Station Construction

  • Same service impacts and service plan as March 14–15 disruption with shuttle buses replacing trains between Marconi/Arcade and 11th & K stations.

About the Construction Projects

Dos Rios Station Construction
The Dos Rios Station project is part of a major expansion of Blue Line access in the River District. Construction work in March includes connecting a new second track through the future station site to improve reliability and support doubletracking in the corridor. This work requires temporary service interruptions as crews complete track, signal, and infrastructure upgrades that will support the new station opening this summer. Learn more at sacrt.com/DosRios

Station Platform Modifications (Light Rail Modernization Project)
SacRT is upgrading station platforms throughout the Blue Line as part of its Light Rail Modernization Project. These improvements will allow the system to operate new S700 low-floor trains, which offer easier boarding, improved accessibility, and a more modern passenger experience. Platform modification work requires short-term station closures and bus bridges but will result in longterm safety and accessibility benefits for riders. Learn more at sacrt.com/StationClosure.
