Our Meadowview, Our Future: A Transit-Oriented Communities Study

SacRT has launched the Meadowview Station Transit-Oriented Communities Study to explore how the Meadowview light rail station and surrounding park-and-ride lot can be transformed into a vibrant, connected, and inclusive community hub. The study will guide future development—potentially including housing, retail, and other mixed uses—while improving mobility and access.

This project is funded by SACOG’s Green Means Go program, a regional initiative to accelerate infill development, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and revitalize existing communities.

About the Study
The Meadowview Station Transit-Oriented Communities draft study is now complete and available for public review through Saturday, March 21, 2026.

The study includes:
Assessment of current infrastructure and land use
Exploration of development opportunities for affordable housing and smart growth
Analysis of financial feasibility and funding strategies

Public Engagement

We’re committed to a transparent and inclusive process. Here’s how we’ve engaged the community so far:

Public Workshop #1 – July 30, 2025

Held at the Pannell Community Center, this in-person event introduced the project and presented three potential development scenarios. Attendees shared valuable feedback and ideas.

Public Workshop #2 – November 6, 2025

The second community workshop built upon feedback gathered during the first workshop and presented a draft of the preferred TOC concept for the Meadowview station area.

Preferred Scenario

Participants explored the proposed concept and were able to provide their input through live polling and discussion. A recording of the workshop is accessible below:
