Whether you’re new to riding or a seasoned SacRT commuter, our new “Ready to Ride” video series is here to help you feel confident, informed, and excited to use public transit. Each episode offers practical tips to make your ride easier covering everything from routes and stations to fares and accessibility features. 

Episode 1: Routes and Stations

In our first episode, we’ll show you how to navigate the SacRT light rail system. Learn more about our three light rail lines—Blue, Gold, and Green—and how to find your way at any of our 53 stations. You’ll also discover how to safely board trains, read signs, buy fare, and access features for riders with mobility devices.

Episode 2: Riding Light Rail

Episode 2 takes a closer look at how to board, ride, and exit SacRT light rail trains—whether you’re traveling on our high-floor legacy trains or our modern S700 low-floor trains. 

Learn what to do before the train arrives, how to use door buttons (including accessibility features), and how to navigate onboard spaces—especially if you’re riding with a mobility device, bike, or scooter. You’ll also learn about safety rules, how to exit the train properly, and how to transfer between lines.
