SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) will implement temporary service changes on Sunday, December 7, 2025, due to road closures related to the California International Marathon (CIM). The annual race, which spans from Folsom to downtown Sacramento, will impact several light rail stations and bus routes between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
SacRT encourages riders to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate boarding locations where necessary. Customer service representatives will be available at 916-321-BUSS (2877) to assist with trip planning.
Light Rail Service Impacts
Gold Line:
A bus bridge (shuttle bus between stations) will operate between Sacramento Valley and 13th Street stations.
Blue Line:
A bus bridge (shuttle bus between stations) will operate between 13th Street and Cathedral Square stations (10th & K and 11th & K).
Closed Light Rail Stations (7 a.m. – 3 p.m.):
- Archives Plaza
- 9th & K
- 8th & O
- 8th & Capitol
- 7th & Capitol
- 8th & K
- 7th & I
- Sacramento Valley Station
Bus Route Detours
Several bus routes will be detoured due to road closures along the marathon route. Impacted bus routes include: 11, 21, 23, 25, 26, 30, 38, 51, 62, 67, 68, 82, 84, 86, 87, 88, and 142.
