SacRT Offers Free Rides Systemwide on October 21st to Celebrate Customer Appreciation Month

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is saying a heartfelt “thank you” to its riders by offering free rides systemwide on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, as part of its month-long Customer Appreciation Month celebration.

Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to class, or exploring the region, your ride is on us. All SacRT bus, light rail, and SacRT GO paratransit services will be free for the entire day — no ticket, pass, or flyer required.

“Our riders are the reason we do what we do,” said SacRT General Manager/CEO Henry Li. “Customer Appreciation Month is our opportunity to give back, connect with our community, and show our gratitude for the people who keep our system moving.”

Throughout October, SacRT is hosting a variety of events to celebrate its riders, including pop-up appreciation stations and special giveaways. Riders can also catch General Manager/CEO Henry Li on board the system during scheduled ride-alongs to share feedback and stories directly.
