Title VI Equity Analysis – Proposed Discontinuation of Route 33 (Dos Rios)

September 2026 Service Changes Draft Plan and Title VI Equity Analysis

SacRT is seeking public comments on the draft service plan and Title VI Equity Analysis for the proposed discontinuation of bus route 33 (Dos Rios). The draft plan is available for review from Friday, May 1 through Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Project Timeline

  • Draft Plan Available: May 1, 2026
  • Public Comments Due: May 30, 2026
  • Board Consideration: June 8, 2026

With the new Dos Rios light rail station scheduled to open this summer, SacRT is proposing to discontinue bus route 33 (Dos Rios). The new light rail station will give surrounding residents and businesses convenient access to the Blue Line, which provides similar service coverage as the bus route. Bus route 33 service changes would take effect when the new Dos Rios Station opens, but not before Sunday, August 16, 2026.

In accordance with federal Title VI civil rights requirements and SacRT’s Major Service Change Policy, a Title VI Service Equity Analysis has been conducted to assess whether the proposed change creates any potential disparate impacts on minority populations or disproportionate burdens on low-income populations.
