ZipPass App - Officially Retired on July 1, 2026
Important ZipPass Updates
The ZipPass mobile fare app has officially been retired and is no longer available as of July 1, 2026.
Riders must now use Transit Connect, SacRT’s new mobile fare app designed to provide a smoother, more secure fare payment experience. Learn more and make the switch at sacrt.com/ZipPass.
Have unused tickets or passes? Watch for an email invitation to download the new Transit Connect app on July 1. Download Transit Connect and register using the same email address as your ZipPass account to receive your eligible tickets and passes in the new app. Tickets will be delivered beginning on July 3, 2026.
Even more enhancements are coming this spring as part of Phase 2 of Transit Connect, including:
- Contactless tap‑to‑pay validation
- Fare capping—never pay more than the daily max
- Loading cash at vending machines and participating retailers
- Connect Card users will transition to Transit Connect, and a smart card option will be available.
Transit Connect App
Transit Connect is SacRT’s new mobile fare app for a seamless travel experience. Users can currently purchase basic fare, discount fare and SacRT GO paratransit services fare.
